Lead - MODS Tooling:

Individual will be responsible for refurbishing and/or building new mechanical and electrical tools utilized in nuclear power plants to perform plant modifications. Tools that will be worked on will be both clean and radiologically contaminated. Must be willing to work in a radiologically controlled area; experience in the nuclear power industry is highly desirable. Electrical tools consist primarily of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) power supplies, electrodes, and panels; an electrical background is required. Individual will be responsible for managing logistics and work schedule to ensure tools are available for project by the requested need date.  Individual must have strong organizational and self-management skills to ensure schedule deadlines are met and all customer requests fulfilled. 

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills required.
  • Ability to read complex tooling drawings.
  • Willing to travel to support Reactor Modifications as needed (30%).
  • Subject to random drug test.
  • Self-motivated, logical and detail-oriented team player with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks in strict accordance with procedure.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Office, Excel, and Oracle.
  • Maintain accurate data bases for all equipment.
  • Keep facilities, equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
  • Follow safety regulations and procedures while performing assigned duties and tasks.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the job objectives including the following:
  • Review and arrange work schedules to suit the Client’s needs.
  • Provide leadership and direction as necessary to other Consultant Employees (including performance management and disciplinary actions).
  • Act as primary liaison between the Client and the Consultant in the absence of the Operations Manager
  • Assist with staffing as necessary (including interviewing candidates and making recommendations for hiring, merit increases or promotion).
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Create a plan to increase deliverables and reduce costs.
  • Attend requested staff meetings for feedback.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings.
  • Provide Productivity Metrics.
  • Any other directives given by the Operations Manager.
Preferred:
  • 2 years associate degree in electronics repair.
  • Previous customer repair/service experience.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) process.
  • Familiarity with radiation worker safety.
  • Experience with EDM equipment and applications.

Civil Oversight

Job Duites: 
Provide additional support ensuring project meets safety, quality and production expectations by performing field observations. 
Requirements:Experience as a Civil Engineer, Civil Construction Supervisor, or Civil QC Inspector
