Operations Coordinator

Sonic Systems International is seeking a high energy, motivated, self-starter to join our staffing team in the dynamic, fast- paced business of nuclear plant outages.  This position is a high-level administrative assistant, interfacing with multiple levels of management. 

Requirements:

  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have strong organization and communication skills (written and oral)

  • Must be able to work independently – reliable self-starter

  • Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

  • Positive Attitude – Team Player

  • Preferably 3 years + experience in an office environment

  • 40-hour week, 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday

Administrative Assistant

Sonic Systems International has an immediate opening for an Administrator for GE Hitachi Energy Sunol and San Jose Operations in Sunol, CA.  

Ability to work at both California GE Locations - Sunol (research & development facility) and San Jose (training facility).  
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Some experience in finance preferred. 

Drug test and federal background check required for employment. 

Contract, full-time position with benefits.

Full time I&C Technician - Sunol, CA

No relocation or per diem is offered for this position.

LOCATION: VALLECITOS NUCLEAR CENTER, SUNOL, CA

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

 

Perform calibration and repairs to a variety of electronics equipment and instrumentation, including calibration of radiation monitoring equipment using a calibrated radiation source. Perform maintenance and repair to reactor instrumentation and controls and alarms and indications systems. Equipment list includes the Nuclear Test Reactor, nuclear survey instruments, site portable radios, central HVAC energy controls, and the site emergency alarm system. Maintain procedures and spare parts inventory. Red-line drawings as required to capture modifications. Maintain and update instrumentation calibration procedures.

 

Other duties include maintenance and repair of site telephone systems, IT network, Xerox copiers and printers, security surveillance cameras, badging systems, video satellite system.

 

May train or direct other technicians as assigned and perform some planning activities as required. May supply technical support to engineering and scientific personnel relative to site equipment and facilities as related to functional duties. Will normally interface with supervision, work associates and others requesting support services. Must work with minimum supervision, exercising independent judgment relative to techniques and methods pertinent to assigned area of responsibility.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High school diploma

 

5 years or more experience in instrument calibration and repair

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Proficient in the use of computers including writing and revising procedures, and documenting using spreadsheets.

 

Must be able to work in a radioactive environment using the necessary protective equipment.

 

Must be able to work in confined spaces and elevated locations.

 

Must be able to qualify and use respiratory protective equipment.Must be able to pass security background investigation/security screening.

 

Ability to sketch drawings and write/update proceduresAble to lift 30 lbs.

 

Valid driver’s license required as company vehicle will be utilized on property.

 

PREFERRED:

 

Experience with nuclear instrumentation preferred.Familiarity with phone and IT systems maintenance and repair.
